Professional drone services, UK wide
SkySpec AI is a professional drone services company delivering aerial inspection, survey and engineering across the whole of the UK, from our base in Cardiff. Repairs are one of seven specialisms, not the whole story.
Who we are
SkySpec AI is a professional drone services company built by engineers who fly, survey and fault find on real aircraft for a living. That foundation carries a full range of aerial work: mapping and survey, forestry intelligence, solar and roof inspection, offshore surveillance, UAV consultation, and drone repair whenever something needs fixing.
Every job stays with the same small team from first call to final report, never handed off to a call centre or a subcontractor. The engineer who plans your flight is the one who can explain exactly what the data means. We are based in Cardiff, and we fly the length and breadth of the UK.
What we do
Every service below is delivered by the same engineers. Open any card for the full detail, or get in touch and we will point you the right way.

Click through the steps below to see how a typical job runs.
Call, email or use the form below. Describe the fault, the site or the question, and we will tell you honestly whether a drone is the right tool for it, no obligation either way.
You receive a fixed quote and a plan before any work starts, whether that plan is a bench repair, a single flight, or a full survey programme across a large site.
Licensed pilots capture the data on site, or our engineers carry out the repair on the bench, keeping you updated with real progress at every stage.
You get your aircraft back tested and flying, or a report with annotated imagery and measurements you can hand straight to your team, your insurer or your client.
Common questions
No. Most clients simply grant access and carry on with their day. We will always agree access and any safety requirements with you before the flight, and can share footage or findings as soon as the job is done.
We fly under CAA rules and always confirm airspace and landowner permissions before any job. If your site has particular access or planning restrictions, tell us up front and we will factor that into the flight plan.
It depends on the fault, but many repairs are diagnosed the same day and turned around within a few days once a quote is approved. Some straightforward fixes are same day. We will always give you a realistic estimate up front.
A scheduled inspection is a one off survey, often ahead of a sale, renewal or planning decision. A maintenance inspection repeats on a set interval so the same asset is tracked over time, which makes small issues easier to catch early.
Yes. We are based in Cardiff but our flight crews cover the whole of the UK, including offshore and remote sites. Let us know your location when you get in touch and we will confirm timing and any travel cost.
The team
Small by design, so the person who quotes the job is the person who delivers it.
Samson founded SkySpec AI after years spent on real aircraft, from maintenance on Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 airframes to flight controller work across ArduPilot, PX4, Betaflight and DJI systems. He holds CAA A2, A3 and GVC licences. Samson leads the hardware side of the company, from build quality to the repair bench, and sets the standard of care the whole team builds on.
Yash co founded SkySpec AI and leads its software engineering. He builds the data pipelines and tooling that turn raw flight data into clear, useful reports, and shapes the systems that keep every survey organised, repeatable and easy to share. Working closely with Samson, he makes sure every technical decision serves the customer holding the final report, not just the engineers behind it.
Seun leads flight operations as Chief Drone Engineer, keeping every aircraft in the fleet mission ready. From preflight checks and payload calibration to the flight plans that capture the right data on the first pass, Seun is the reason our drones arrive on site prepared and leave with everything the report needs. He works hand in hand with Samson on build quality, so every aircraft that leaves the workshop meets the same exacting standard.
